If you’re looking for a new cafe to explore in Iconic Point, Simpang Ampat, look no further than Moon Walk Cafe, perched on the 2nd floor above Guardian. This charming spot is quickly becoming a favorite, thanks to its cozy interior, wide variety of food options, and, of course, the fantastic flavors they serve up.
During our recent visit, we got to sample some of their signature dishes, and let me tell you, they did not disappoint!
Must-try dishes
Crispy Chicken with Mashed Potato
A classic done right—crispy on the outside, tender on the inside, paired perfectly with creamy mashed potatoes.
Grilled Chicken with Mashed Potato
The grilled chicken is juicy and full of flavor, with a nice char that adds an extra layer of deliciousness.
For the chicken chop, you get to choose your sauce. Options include Wasabi Mayo, Spicy BBQ Sauce, Signature Spice Sauce, Black Pepper, and Tartar Sauce. Trust me, each sauce adds its own unique twist to the dish!
If you’re into pasta, you’ll be thrilled with their offerings:
Tomyam with Prawns Spaghetti
A delightful fusion of spicy, tangy tom yam with perfectly cooked spaghetti and plump prawns.
Spicy Aglio Olio with Smoked Duck
This one’s for those who enjoy a little heat—spicy, garlicky, and complemented by the rich flavor of smoked duck.
Moon Walk Cafe doesn’t forget about rice lovers either:
White Rice with Homemade Minced Pork
Our absolute favorite! The minced pork is savory and well-seasoned, making this dish comfort food at its best.
Fried Rice with Red Pork Belly
A flavorful twist on fried rice, featuring succulent red pork belly.
The drink menu is just as impressive as the food. We tried a variety and have a few favorites:
MilkCap Brown Sugar Coffee
Our top pick! The rich coffee with a sweet brown sugar kick is topped with a creamy milk cap—perfectly indulgent.
Coconut Milk Latte
Smooth and refreshing, with just the right hint of coconut.
Iced Passion Fruit
A zesty, refreshing choice that’s perfect for a hot day.
Coconut Plum
A unique blend that’s both sweet and slightly tangy—definitely worth a try!
Jasmine Orange Sea Salt Milk Cap and Jasmine Grapefruit Sea Salt Milk Cap
Both are new additions and bring a refreshing mix of sweet, tart, and salty flavors.
We couldn’t resist trying some of their skewers, and they were all hits! Our favorites included:
- Fried Enoki Mushrooms
- Taiwanese Sausage
- Abalone Mushrooms
- Potato
- Broccoli
- Eggplant
- Cheese Sausage
- Cheese Tofu
