IKEA Malaysia Launches IKEA Plant Ball as Delicious and Sustainable Meatball Alternative

IKEA Malaysia Introduces Plant Version of Its Well-Loved Meatballs

IKEA Malaysia has just announced an exciting new addition to their menu – the IKEA plant ball. This innovative dish is the perfect solution for those looking for a sustainable and delicious alternative to traditional meatballs. Made with yellow pea protein, oats, potatoes, onion, and apple, the plant ball has a lower impact on the environment, with only 4% of the climate footprint of the classic IKEA meatballs.

The IKEA plant ball is part of the company’s commitment to being people and planet-positive. With a goal of becoming climate positive by 2030, IKEA is taking significant steps towards reducing their environmental impact. By introducing this new plant-based option, they are encouraging more Malaysians to take small steps towards leading a more sustainable lifestyle.

Malcolm Pruys, Country Retail Director of IKEA Malaysia, said, “We want to inspire and encourage more Malaysians to take small steps towards leading a sustainable lifestyle, starting from our eating habits. With the new plant ball, we are proud to offer meat lovers a delicious, affordable, and more sustainable alternative – without compromising on the IKEA meatball experience that is loved by many.”

With this new addition to the menu, Malaysians can enjoy a delicious and sustainable alternative that is better for the planet, without sacrificing the taste and experience they love from IKEA’s classic meatballs.
