Kwason Boulangerie is now officially in having its own store in Penang, bringing you the best of classic French pastries and desserts, definitely reminds you of ‘Emily in Paris’ kind of Parisian dreams!
Located at Beach Street, Penang, Kwason Boulangerie was once known as Le Dux Patisserie. Dedicated to bringing you a more down-to-earth yet high-standard French pastry café experience, Chef Belle (graduated from Le Cordon Bleu, Australia) is opening a new chapter with Kwason Boulangerie, introducing fresh recipes, carefully selected ingredients, and keeping the taste of France at its finest. Here, you’ll be greeted by the irresistible aroma of freshly baked goods, guaranteed to make you start salivating before your very first bite! Ah-ha!
Kwason Boulangerie exudes a vintage yet minimalist vibe, preserving the charm of Penang’s heritage architecture. Every corner here feels cosy and warm, just like snuggling up in a café with freshly baked French pastries, all made with love.
Here, you’ll find a tempting variety of authentic pastries — scones, croissants, pain au chocolat, bagels, strudels, beignets, and more! Each one is crafted with top-notch ingredients and perfected through days (and nights!) of endless R&D by Chef Belle and her talented little chefs.
Oh! And here’s something exciting for you — they’ve got the cutest little ‘Glaze Your Apple’ Hi-Tea Set, where you get to DIY your very own “poisoned apple”. And worry not! There will be 10 to 15 minutes of guidance on how to glaze your apple!

‘Poisoned’ Apple – Chocolate mousse topped with a shiny red glaze on top, nice to eat and nice for pics!
Classic Croissant – This ‘Kwason’ made with the most aromatic, finest butter, and oh-so-crispy. Not joking… it’s heavenly good!
Apple Cinnamon Escargot – Apple lovers, this one’s for you! Packed with apple bits and topped with a chunky walnut. Yum!
Chocolate & Raisin Scone – Never thought a scone could be this exciting until we tried this one. Chocolate, raisins, pair it with butter? TAKE MY MONEY!
Harney & Sons Tea Set – A little fine tea to refresh your taste buds so you can indulge in even more pastries? We are down for that!

Round and round… glaze your poisoned apple to the perfect shiny red under the chef’s guidance. Top it off with a little gold and their cute label, and you’re officially a little pastry chef! Super fun, super pretty, and totally Instagrammable!

Peach Strudel – This one is all about the crisp! Incredibly flaky layers, paired with premium ingredients, fresh cream, and sweet, juicy peach slices on top… can’t get enough!
Madagascar Vanilla Bean Beignet – WE LOVED THIS! Super soft, fluffy, and that vanilla paste? Absolutely delicious, you can even spot the vanilla beans in it! As the chef mentioned, they use Madagascan vanilla pods for the paste. Yum!
Hazelnut Cinnamon Roll – Who can resist the classic, beloved cinnamon roll? Now they’ve leveled it up with crunchy macadamia nuts on top!
Ham & Cheese Kwason – We were shocked by how aromatic and flavorful the inside was! Loved the butter they used, garlicky and savory!
Tiramisu in Edible Cup – They give you a little hammer to knock open the edible chocolate cup, revealing aromatic, boozy tiramisu hiding underneath, just waiting for you to devour it. Loved the taste!
Pepperoni Cheese Bagel & Jalapeño Cheese Bagel
We loved their bagels too! Chewy, soft, and not only do the toppings on top add personality, but they also hide a little surprise of cream cheese inside, making every bite extra fun to chew!
Here, every corner gives off a cozy, cottage-like vibe, making you feel extra comfortable. And of course, it’s the perfect excuse to snap some pics with all the cute corners and décor!
