If you’ve ever dreamed of sipping coffee and enjoying pastries in a cozy café in Paris — you’re going to fall in love with Le Litchi, a newly opened French-themed café located at Lebuh Campbell, Penang. With its warm ambiance, Parisian charm, and beautifully curated menu, Le Litchi offers a delightful escape right in the heart of George Town.

From the moment we stepped into Le Litchi, we were greeted with an inviting blend of cozy elegance and classic French café vibes. Think warm wood tones, soft lighting, rattan chairs, vintage-style décor, and the comforting aroma of freshly brewed coffee and baked pastries — it’s a little piece of Paris tucked away in Penang.

We couldn’t resist trying their French pastries and desserts — each one beautifully crafted and plated with care. We especially loved the buttery croissants and their signature canelé — caramelized on the outside, moist and custardy on the inside. It’s not often you find a café nailing this classic French treat, but Le Litchi did it right.
Paired with a cup of their smooth, aromatic coffee, it was the perfect balance of indulgence and comfort. A must-try for any pastry lover!

We were genuinely surprised by how impressive Le Litchi’s newly launched lunch menu turned out to be. Every dish we tried was flavorful, beautifully presented, and thoughtfully put together. Here’s what we ordered:
🥣 Butternut Squash Soup
A creamy, comforting bowl of roasted butternut squash soup served with warm house-made focaccia. Fragrant with hints of basil and perfectly seasoned — the ideal starter.
🥗 Salad Lyonnaise
Crispy frisée greens topped with smoked duck slices, Japanese cucumber, a perfectly poached egg, and finished with a zesty mustard vinaigrette. Light, flavorful, and full of texture.

🐟 Salmon
Pan-seared salmon served with beurre blanc sauce, mango salsa, roasted cauliflower florets, and a touch of fish roe for that salty pop. A colorful and balanced dish that hit all the right notes.
🍝 Carbonara
Rich and creamy but not too heavy, this Carbonara featured perfectly cooked pasta in a luscious sauce that coated every bite — classic comfort food done well.

🍆 Eggplant Parmigiana
One of our favorites! Tender, breaded eggplant baked with marinara sauce and gooey mozzarella. A hearty vegetarian option that even meat lovers will enjoy.
What truly makes Le Litchi special is the ambiance. Whether you’re here for a solo coffee break, lunch with a friend, or a sweet afternoon treat, the setting is warm, charming, and oh-so-Instagrammable. It’s the kind of place that invites you to slow down and savor the moment — just like they do in Paris.

Le Litchi is more than just another pretty café — it’s a culinary experience that combines French elegance with Penang’s charm. Whether you’re here for their artisan pastries, well-executed lunch menu, or just the cozy Parisian vibes, it’s a spot worth adding to your café-hopping list.
