Stepping into the café space, one is greeted by high ceilings that bathe the room in natural light, adorned with warm wooden tones that create an inviting and cozy ambiance.
A recent addition to their diner menu—the authentic Hokkien Mee with Prawn Fritter—piqued our interest and led us to embark on a delightful culinary exploration!
Their diverse menu caters to all tastes, boasting all-day breakfast, local favorites, pasta dishes, a plethora of coffee options, specialty drinks, and premium ice cream, among other delights.
Here’s a taste journey through some of their offerings:
Hokkien Mee (Soup/Dry): This delightful dish featured prawns, crab sticks, hard-boiled eggs, sambal paste, and a pork-free base. Available in three noodle choices—yellow noodles, bihun, or even spaghetti—the soup variant, bursting with flavorful goodness, stole our hearts. The addition of the Prawn Fritter was an absolute highlight, elevating the dish to sheer perfection.
Avocado Toast: Mashed avocado atop sourdough toasts, adorned with hard-boiled eggs and tagarashi egg—a delightful medley of textures and flavors that pleased the palate.
Tomyam Prawn Pasta: Bursting with the zesty tang of authentic tomyam paste, the plump prawns intertwined with the pasta strands were a flavorful delight. The dish had a delightful kick that offered a balance of spicy and tangy notes, leaving a pleasant tingle on the palate. The fusion of the aromatic tomyam paste with the perfectly cooked pasta created a tantalizing harmony of flavors, making each forkful a delightful experience.
Spicy Chicken Brioche: Indulging in the juicy chicken patty nestled within the brioche, each bite was an explosion of flavors. The blend of caramelized onions, cheese, and the spicy mayo delivered a delightful heat that perfectly complemented the succulence of the chicken.
The signature drinks were no less impressive:
- Gula Melaka Latte: A captivating blend of Gula Melaka and rich espresso, this drink was a harmony of sweetness and robust coffee flavor, making it an instant hit on the taste buds.
